Dakota wrote an article about Alternate Reality Games (ARGs) for the official magazine for the National Association for Interpretation.
In it, he of course reflects on the successes and lessons learned from our own Art Hunters ARG at the Springfield Art Museum, but he also discusses a couple of the other games that inspired it – RevQuest at Colonial Williamsburg, and the Smithsonian Institution’s TechQuest.
Geez, now I’m thinking maybe we should’ve put “quest” in the title somewhere. Art Quest? ArtHuntQuest? I guess we’re not the only classic adventure game fans out there in the museum world.
Anyway, if you’re at all curious about Alternate Reality Games, check out the full article, Interpreting in Alternate Realities, reposted here with the kind permission of Legacy Magazine.
